The Colosseum
The Colosseum is a building where Gladiators used to fight. It is also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre. It is made out of concrete and stone, and it was the largest Amphitheatre in the Roman Empire. The capacity was estimated around 50,000 and 80,000. The construction of this spectacular building was around 70-80 AD, under the careful eye of Vespasian, the 9th emperor of the Roman Empire.
